CARLIK JONES NAMED BSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK ONCE AGAIN

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second time this season, redshirt freshman guard Carlik Jones has been named Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Jones came close to recording his first career double-double when he tallied eight points and eight rebounds in Radford's nail-biting, 74-77, loss at Elon on Wednesday night. He added two assists and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line as well.

Then, back in front of his home crowd for only the second time in 2017-18, the Cincinnati, Ohio native filled up the stat sheet with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across a career-high 29 minutes.

Through five games, Jones is averaging a team-leading 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 54.1-percent from the floor and 52.9-percent from beyond the arc.

Back on November 13^th, he became the 39^th member of the Radford men's basketball program to ever win the award and only the second in the last five seasons. He's the ninth Highlander to earn the distinction multiple times in one season.

Carlik and the rest of the team take the court on Tuesday, November 28^th at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT when they travel to Nashville, Tenn. for a showdown with Vanderbilt.
