RADFORD BACK IN ACTION ON SATURDAY AGAINST KENNESAW STATE



KENNESAW, Ga. – The Radford women's lacrosse team looks to bounce back as it wraps up its spring break trip against Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday at noon.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

•  Radford (3-3) is coming off a tough 18-12 loss at Mercer. The Highlanders held the Bears, the top scoring team in the nation, to their lowest goals scored with a win all season.
•  Juliette Ruland and Callie Bonnel scored seven of Radford's 12 goals against Mercer. Ruland led the team with four, while Bonnel added three.
•  The Highlanders hold a .797 shot on goal percentage and have 122 shots on goals this season. Opponents facing Radford only have a .736 shot on goal percentage.
•  Emma Rogers has a team-high 17 goals and 23 points. The sophomore also has an .844 shot on goal percentage.
•  Adrian Rius has 34 draw controls, which is half the draws she won from 2016.
•  Defensively, Shea Swingle has come out of nowhere and now leads the team with 10 caused turnovers. Emma Rogers and Avery Reding both have eight, which is tied for the second-best on the team.
 
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
•  Kennesaw State (1-2) picked up its first win on Sunday with a 21-9 victory over Gardner-Webb.
•  The Owls previous two games were against Vanderbilt and Marquette, where they were outscored a combined 37-12.
•  Sydney Farwick has scored a team-high nine goals and has a team-high 11 points. She has corralled eight ground balls and won 11 draws, both lead the team.
•  Defensively, Laura Jordan leads the team with three caused turnovers.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will return home Saturday, March 18, to host Howard at noon. The Bison were the only team Radford defeated in its 2016 campaign.
