RADFORD LACROSSE TRAVELS TO MERCER



MACON, Ga. – The Radford women's lacrosse team, coming off its best weekend in program history, travels to Macon, Ga., for a game against Mercer at Five Star Stadium. First draw is slated for noon.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

•  Radford (3-2) is riding high on a two-game winning streak, the first in program history.
•  Lindsey Carroll is the reigning Big South Freshman of the Week for her performance against Delaware State. It is the second conference weekly award for any player in program history.
•  The Highlanders rank in the top 10 nationally in three categories; seventh averaging 7.6 assists per game, seventh averaging 23.8 ground balls per game and fourth averaging 16 draw controls per contest.
•  Adrian Rius has 5.8 draw controls per game, which is top in the Big South and 16th nationally.
•  Radford leads the Big South with 13.20 goals per game, in large part by Emma Rogers who is averaging 3.20 goals per game. Her 3.20 goals are good for second best in the conference.
•  The Highlanders are making great opportunities for themselves on the offensive end recording 21 shots on goal per game, which leads the league.
•  Defensively, Emma Rogers, Avery Reding and Shea Swingle have caused a team-high eight turnovers for the Highlanders. Swingle caused six against St. Bonaventure, setting a new school record.
•  In goal, Jenny Davis is coming off a 15 save performance against St. Bonaventure. She was three shy from tying the school record for saves in game.
 
SCOUTING MERCER
•  Mercer (3-1) has outscored its opponents 75-36 and is coming off a 19-4 win against Butler.
•  The Bears have two wins over Big South opponents in Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb and outscored those two teams a combined 46-20.
•  Mercer ranks first in the country in scoring offense averaging 18.75 goals per game and is second in the nation averaging 10 assists per game.
•  Lindsey Zeltwanger ranks first in the country in points per game (7.25) and assists per game (3.75)
•  Defensively, Audrey Robertson has 3.33 caused turnovers per game, which is fourth most nationally.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will travel a little over 100 miles north to Kennesaw, Ga., to take on Kennesaw State on Saturday at noon.
