NINETY SIX, S.C. – Due to inclement weather in Sunday's forecast the Big South Men's Golf Championship held the final two rounds on Saturday at The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C., and the Radford men's golf team finished in seventh place, moving up one spot, but Myles Creighton stole the show winning several Big South Conference postseason awards.

Creighton, who finished the tournament tied for fourth shooting six-under, took home several postseason awards over the weekend. His tie for fourth landed him on the All-Championship Team. He also was one of 10 Big South players to be named to the Big South All-Conference Team for his play all season.

The Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada native was also stellar in the classroom and was named to the All-Academic Team and was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The junior is the first Highlander to take home Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The finance major has a cumulative 3.85 GPA.

The Highlanders completed the tournament shooting 15-over with 33 birdies and two eagles. The Highlanders had the second-most pars with 166 pars. The second round was the best for Radford as they shot 292.

At the conclusion of the second round, the Highlanders were in sixth place. Creighton finished the round two-under (70) with one birdie, while Gareth Sargent finished the second round one-over (73). Radford fell in the third round shooting the highest they did all tournament with a 303 as a team, which dropped them to seventh. The Highlanders finished ahead of High Point and Presbyterian.
