SETTING THE STAGE
- Radford is 8-5-3 (.594) all-time against the Eagles with the first contest taking place in 2003 and the most recent clash ending with a 5-2 Highlander victory on Sept. 24, 2016
- This match-up represents the first Big South contest of the season for Radford. The Highlanders are 22-11-3 all-time in conference openers
- Head Coach Ben Sohrabi is 87-53-17 (.608) against Big South opponents in his career at Radford
- The Highlanders completed their non-conference slate with a record of 7-1-0, their best start to a season since going 10-0-0 to begin the 1993 campaign

- The seven-game winning streak was the longest for Radford since winning seven straight in 1999. The longest streak in program history was 13 games bridging the 1992 and 1993 seasons
- Despite going without a goal in a 3-0 loss to Saint Francis last weekend, the Highlanders still rank tied for 13th in the nation in scoring offense with 2.75 goals per game
- Juniors Jessica Wollmann and Jasmine Casarez lead the Big South in points with 16 and 13 points respectively. Sophomore Nelia Perez (11) and freshman Gabi Paupst (9) also rank in the top-5 in the Big South for points this season
- Sophomore Allyson Giannone (7), sophomore Nelia Perez (5) and Wollmann (4) represent the top-3 for assists in the Big South
SCOUTING WINTHROP
- Record: 3-3-1 (0-0-0 Big South)
- Sophomore defender Allie Thomas leads the Eagles in scoring with three goals for six points
- Winthrop has been nothing if not consistent, scoring one goal per game and allowing one goal per game through seven games
- Redshirt sophomore Kelly Horan has played all 662 minutes in goal for the Eagles, making 20 saves for a .741 save percentage while tallying two shutouts
- The lone common opponent for Radford and Winthrop this season was USC Upstate. The Highlanders defeated the Spartans, 3-2, on the road while the Eagles topped them, 2-1, at home
- Winthrop Head Coach Spencer Smith was the Radford men's soccer head coach for 16 years. In his time at Radford, he was named Big South Coach of the Year twice and is the school's all-time leader in victories
