SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford leads the all-time series history with a record of 7-5-2 (.577) against Campbell
  • The series began all the way back on September 15, 1992
  • The two sides played each other twice in 2016 – once in the regular season and once in the first round of the Big South Tournament – with Campbell winning both games
  • In their most recent meeting, the Highlanders fell, 2-0, to the Camels to end the 2016 season

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 8-1-0 (1-0-0 BSC)
  • Radford is coming off of a 5-2 victory over Winthrop in its Big South opener
  • With eight wins in 2017, the Highlanders have already topped their win total of seven from 2016
  • Sophomore defender Allyson Giannone is one of three players tied for the most assists in the nation with eight. The mark ties her with Jordan Lundin (2014) and Suzanne Campbell (1989) for most in a single season in Radford history
  • Junior midfielder Jasmine Casarez is tied for 10th in the nation for goals scored with eight
  • The Highlanders' offense continues to be as dynamic as ever following a five-goal effort against Winthrop. Their scoring offense now ranks fifth in the nation at 3.00 goals per game
  • Radford and Campbell have combined for 140 points this season while the other eight teams in the Big South have only tallied 174 points total

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
  • Record: 5-4-0 (1-0-0 BSC)
  • An alumna of the university, Samar Azem took the reins of the Campbell women's soccer program in July after serving as an assistant coach for one season and the associate head coach for two
  • The Camels are coming off of a 4-1 win over Presbyterian to start conference play to bounce back from a brief two-game losing streak
  • Sophomore forward Alexa Genas leads the Big South with nine goals following a brilliant four-goal display against Presbyterian
  • Six different Camels have multiple assists on the season: Southerland (3), Maansson (3), Genas (2), Wratchford (2), Major (2) and Southern (2)
  • Junior Erin Scott has started all nine games as the Campbell goalkeeper, but sophomore Matalya Marcove has played in five games in goal as well
  • Campbell is the only other team in the Big South to eclipse the 20-goal mark this season. That number is inflated by a 9-0 victory over Chicago State

UP NEXT
  • Following their match with Campbell, the Highlanders will hit the road once again to take on High Point at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30th
  • The Panthers are 4-6 on the season, but have gone 2-1 at home and are riding a two-game win streak
