HIGHLANDERS FACE UNC ASHEVILLE IN PIVOTAL CONFERENCE MATCH

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – As the regular season winds down, the Radford women's soccer team travels to Asheville, N.C., to take on UNC Asheville on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
Radford holds an impressive 22-8-3 record over UNC Asheville. The Highlanders have won three of their last five against the Bulldogs dating back to 2013.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
The Highlanders currently sport a six-game win streak, and during that stretch they have out-scored Big South foes, 15-5. Jasmine Casarez and Jessica Wollmann have eight goals this year. Casarez paces the squad with 19 points, as she has three assists this year. Nelia Perez has nine total assists this year, which also includes a three-assist match versus USC Upstate two games ago. With her nine assists Perez is currently tied for seventh in NCAA Division I. In net Courtenay Kaplan has totaled over 934 minutes between the pipes. The junior goalkeeper has a 1.25 goals against average and a .800 save percentage. Radford has also used sophomore Lexi Dean in net, as she has appeared in seven games with three starts. She leads the goalkeeping core with a .750 goals against average and a .857 save percentage.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION
As a team, the Highlanders are ninth in the country averaging 2.5 goals per game and 14th in points per game averaging seven. Individually, Wollmann's team-leading four game-winning goals currently ranks 23rd among all individuals in NCAA Soccer. The senior also ranks 21st in the country with 2.21 shots on goal per game. Casarez's 5.5 shots per game have her ranked fourth in the country.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Highlanders have been red hot in the past two games and have outscored their competition 6-1. Five of those goals came from Casarez. She netted two against Presbyterian on Wednesday in the 2-0 victory.
 
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
UNC Asheville enters its final home game of the regular season with a 3-7-4 overall record and a 2-4-2 mark in Big South Conference matches. In their last three home games the Bulldogs are undefeated (2-0-1). In the last three home games the Bulldogs have out-scored their opposition, 4-2. Overall at home UNC Asheville has a winning record at 3-2-2. Six different Bulldogs have scored at Greenwood Field this season. Sophomore Skyler Chillson leads the team with two goals scored. Freshman goalkeeper Courtney O'Malley has been impressive on her home turf, as she has started in five games and has played 507 minutes. She totes an impressive 0.71 goals against average, .909 save percentage and a pair of shutouts.
