SETTING THE STAGE
  • Radford and Campbell are tied for third place in the Big South standings at 8-6
  • The Highlanders are slumping as of late, dropping three straight games for the first time this season
  • The Camels have bounced back from three straight losses of their own with back-to-back victories against Gardner-Webb and Liberty

SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford leads the all-time series with Campbell, 21-18, but is just 4-8 since the Camels returned to the Big South in 2011-12
  • The two programs first met during the 1984-85 season when Radford swept a three-game series
  • Campbell has won four straight games against the Highlanders including all three meetings last year and a 56-59 contest in Buies Creek, N.C. earlier this season
  • Junior guard Chris Clemons hit a deep 3-pointer as time expired to give the Camels a win that game. It was his second buzzer-beater in a nine-day span

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 15-12 (8-6 Big South) | RPI: 160
  • After sending four different starting lineups onto the floor to begin the 2017-18 season, Radford has had the same starting five of Carlik Jones, Christian Bradford, Donald Hicks, Ed Polite Jr. and Randy Phillips for the last 18 games
  • The Highlanders began the year 9-0 when holding opponents between 60-69 points, but have dropped back-to-back games where they held High Point to 61 and UNC Asheville to 66
  • Nearly thirty-five percent of Radford's rebounds have been on the offensive glass this season (327 out of 943)
  • Senior center Randy Phillips is one of 50 players in the nation averaging three or more offensive rebounds per game. He had a career-high eight at UNC Asheville on Feb. 10
  • With 136 career 3-pointers, junior guard Caleb Tanner needs only 15 more to catch Amir Johnson (2006-10) for 10th in school history. Tanner's .395 3-point FG% currently ranks 5th behind Corey Reed, Cameron Jones, Don Burgess and Brian Schmall
  • Junior forward Ed Polite Jr. is shooting 46-percent (6-for-13) from beyond the arc in his last four games. He is a career 27.6-percent 3-point shooter
  • Senior guard Christian Bradford has four and five rebounds in his last two games. In the other 25 games this season, he had just one game of 4+ rebounds
  • The Highlanders have limited opponents to 67.1 points per game this season, the third-best scoring defense in the Big South
  • Radford is 12-0 when recording a higher shooting percentage than its opponent this season
  • The Highlanders need only one more win in conference play to surpass last year's total of eight and two more wins to reach double-digits for the first time since the 2014-15 season

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
  • Record: 14-12 (8-6 Big South) | RPI: 267
  • Head Coach Kevin McGeehan is in his fifth year at Campbell. He led the Camels to their first postseason appearance since 1992 last season, winning two games in the CollegeInsider.com postseason tournament after reaching the Big South Championship game
  • The Big South preseason poll tabbed Campbell to finish fourth in the conference, but it did receive two first-place votes
  • Campbell has struggled on the road, posting a record of 4-8 away from Gore Arena
  • Chris Clemons is the engine that makes Campbell run. The dynamic guard was the nation's second-leading scorer in 2016-17 and was selected as the 2017-18 Big South Preseason Player of the Year
  • Clemons is the conference's top scorer this season as well, averaging 24.8 points per game. Last week, he became the first player in Big South history to record his 2,000th career point as a junior
  • Campbell also boasts the league's 11th-best scorer in sophomore guard Marcus Burk (15.5 points per game)
  • In the Big South, the Camels rank second in scoring at 77.7 points per game, third in free throw percentage (.737), first in 3-point percentage (.390) and tied for first in field goal percentage (.484)
  • The Camels are outscoring opponents by 6.6 points per game on average
  • At -1.1, Campbell is one of only three teams in the conference with a negative rebounding margin

NEXT HOME GAME
  • Radford stays home for one final game in the Dedmon Center this Sunday at 3 p.m. against the Presbyterian Blue Hose
  • Seniors Christian Bradford, Justin Cousin and Randy Phillips, as well as senior team manager Tyler Cadd, will be honored in a pregame ceremony as part of Senior Day
