LOCATION CHANGE
  • Due to heavy snowfall in the New River Valley, Monday's game against UC Davis has been moved to James Madison University's Sentara Park in Harrisonburg, VA. Start time has been moved back to 4:30 p.m.

SETTING THE STAGE
  • The Radford women's lacrosse team is eager to get back on the field after a Saturday showdown with Mount St. Mary's was cancelled
  • Coach Marvine and the Highlanders are looking to right the ship following back-to-back losses
  • UC Davis is kicking off a three-game swing in Virginia, where it will also play No. 3 James Madison and William & Mary of the Colonial Athletic Association

SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford and UC Davis have never met before in women's lacrosse
  • Monday's game marks the Highlanders' first contest ever against a team from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, but they'll play two in a row after taking on Fresno State later this week

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 3-4
  • Radford has already had one home game moved to a neutral location because of weather this season: a 16-4 loss to Colgate at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Va.
  • Radford ranks second in the nation in caused turnovers per game with 12.71, trailing only Liberty's 13.50
  • The Highlanders are also tied for seventh in the nation in ground balls per game, picking them up at a rate of 23.00 per contest
  • Redshirt sophomore midfielder Brittany Rinaldi has played a huge part in those impressive statistics. In her first season in a Radford uniform, she leads the squad in ground balls (24) and caused turnovers (13)
  • Through seven games, the Highlanders are being outscored 35-48 in the first half, but then take a 47-43 advantage in goals in the second half. A quicker start could be key to earning a victory on Monday
  • After double-digit goals in each of its first five games, Radford has been held to four and seven goals in its last two contests
  • Junior midfielder Callie Bonnel still leads the team in goals with 19, but sophomore attacker Lindsey Carroll has a team-high 22 points thanks to 17 goals and five assists

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
  • Record: 3-3
  • UC Davis has played only one road game all season, dropping a 5-15 decision at Oregon on Feb. 16
  • Since then, the Aggies have won three of their last four games including back-to-back wins over Robert Morris (11-8) and Albany (13-11)
  • They are led by junior midfielder Taylor Cuenin, who leads the team in goals (15), points (16), shots (28) and caused turnovers (9)
  • Sophomore attacker Amanda Outcalt and sophomore midfielder/attacker Sorana Larson have also reached double-digit goals scored this season with 12 each
  • Junior goalie Grace Richards has started all six games in the cage, allowing 61 goals and making 46 saves for a .430 save percentage on 139 shots faced
  • UC Davis has struggled to take advantage of free position opportunities, finding the back of the net only 14 times in 38 tries
  • Four different Aggies have 10+ draw controls, including a team-high 18 from senior attacker Shannon Geary, to total 82 this season compared to 65 by opponents

UP NEXT
  • The Highlanders welcome Fresno State to Cupp Stadium this Thursday, March 29th at 5 p.m. for the sixth and final game of their March home stand
  • The Bulldogs are 6-4 heading into the new week, but have a chance at another victory when they take on Presbyterian College on Monday at 3 p.m.
