  • Date/Time: Saturday, April 21 at Noon
  • Location: Cupp Stadium (Radford, Va.)
  • Live Stats
  • Admission is free

SETTING THE STAGE
  • There is just one day of games left in the regular season so the Big South Tournament picture will become clear by the end of Saturday
  • The Highlanders clinched a spot in the tournament when Gardner-Webb defeated Presbyterian, 21-12, on Wednesday
  • Radford is currently tied for fifth with Longwood at 2-4 in conference play. The 3rd and 4th seeds will host the 5th and 6th seeds in the quarterfinals

SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford and Presbyterian College have split their two meetings, 1-1
  • The Blue Hose got the better of the Highlanders in 2016 with a 13-8 victory, but 2017's match resulted in an 18-6 blowout by Radford
  • The top performances against PC have come from Emma Rogers who has six goals and two assists, Adrian Rius who has six goals and one assist, and Juliette Ruland who has five goals and two assists. As a freshman last season, Lindsey Carroll notched three goals and three assists to fuel the win

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 5-10, 2-4 Big South | RPI: 89
  • Radford has a great opportunity to show their year-over-year improvement once again. With a win on Saturday, the Highlanders would set a new program record for Big South victories in a single season
  • Adrian Rius became the first player in school history to reach 100 career goals on Saturday
  • Rius has continued her excellence on draw controls as well, ranking third in the Big South with 5.60 per game. Radford ranks fourth in the conference with 13.80 per game as a team
  • With 46 already this season, Callie Bonnel is only two goals away from tying and three goals away from breaking Emma Rogers' school record for goals in a single-season
  • Bonnel is also a mere six goals away from 100 career goals
  • Hannah Rosen was strong in goal once again with 14 saves against Liberty. She now has 36 saves in her last three games
  • Shea Swingle has been solid on defense as of late. In her last four games she has 14 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and a draw control win

SCOUTING THE BLUE HOSE
  • Record: 2-14, 0-6 Big South | RPI: 106
  • Presbyterian College was picked to finish seventh out of eight teams in the Big South preseason poll
  • The Blue Hose are coming off a disappoint 22-12 loss to Gardner-Webb, who was also without a win at the time
  • Road wins at Wofford (14-12) and Delaware State (20-8) account for both of Presbyterian's victories on the year
  • Freshman attacker Kelly Hyman leads the team with 23 goals and five assists for 28 points
  • Head Coach Bob Dachille has played three different goalies on the year, but sophomore Kayla Koch has played the most with 601 minutes in the cage and made the most saves with 111
  • Presbyterian ranks last in the Big South for goals, assists, ground balls, points, draw controls, shots, shot percentage, caused turnovers, goals against and save percentage
  • They have been outscored, 287-107, so far this season
  • One positive for the Blue Hose is that they've committed the least amount of fouls in the conference

UP NEXT
  • Radford will wait for all games to become final before finding out final seeding and where they're headed in the Big South Championships
