WOMEN’S SOCCER RETURNS TO CUPP; HOSTS WOFFORD ON THURSDAY

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Cupp Stadium on Thursday night for a matchup with Wofford at 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
Radford leads the all-time series, 2-1. The duo played each other last season on September 1, with the Highlanders winning 6-3 in Spartanburg. Jessica Wollmann and Jasmine Casarez netted four of the six goals.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
The Highlanders are led by Wollmann, who has a team-high two goals on the young season. Both of her goals were assisted by freshmen in Helena Gonzalez and Reese Degnan. Radford has 23 shots on the year and 12 of them have been on goal for a .522 shot on goal percentage. Courtenay Kaplan has 10 saves, with five in each contest, in 155 minutes played.

LAST TIME OUT
The Highlanders fell to East Carolina on Sunday night, 5-1. Wollmann scored the lone goal for Radford in the second half.

ABOUT THE TERRIERS
Wofford will face its third Big South opponent this season on Thursday night. The Terriers have already faced UNC Asheville and Charleston Southern. Wofford tied the Bulldogs 1-1 in the season opener and fell to CSU, 1-0 on Sunday. This will be the first road contest of the season for Wofford. Eva Dailey has the lone goal for the Terriers, while Marta Izquierdo assisted the goal.
