SERIES HISTORY
Radford and Saint Francis (Pa.) have gone head-to-head three times including the first ever game in program history. The Red Flash have a 2-1 lead in the all-time series, but the Highlanders came out on top 13-8 in the season opener last season.

In that last game, Radford flew out to an early 4-0 lead and outscored SFU in both the first and second halves to earn the victory. Callie Bonnel, Lindsey Carroll and Juliette Ruland all scored three goals each while Jenny Davis made 13 huge saves.

PRESEASON NEWS
The 2019 Big South Preseason Poll tabbed Radford to finish fourth in the conference this season, their highest preseason projection yet. Seniors Callie Bonnel and Adrian Rius were both named to the Preseason All-Conference team.

SCOUTING THE RED FLASH
Saint Francis (Pa.) is another relatively young program, starting collegiate play just 10 years ago during the spring of 2009. While winning seasons have proved tough to come by, the Red Flash have increased their win total each of the last five years, culminating in a 7-10 overall record in 2018.

With that momentum on their side, they were picked to finish fifth out of eight teams in the 2019 NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Head Coach Kara Concheck will return 17 players from her 2018 squad including two of its top three goal scorers in senior Morgan Day (27 goals) and sophomore Emileigh Scott (32 goals).

Junior defender Peyton LeConte also returns for SFU after being named to the 2018 All-NEC First Team. Senior goalkeeper Ashley Stoessel brings tons of experience between the pipes as well after going 7-8 with 143 saves and a 45% save percentage a year ago.

NEXT HOME GAME
After a pair of road games, the Highlanders return to Cupp Stadium for a showdown with Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, March 9. The game is scheduled for a Noon start and admission is free.
