RADFORD ENDS WEEKEND AT MOUNT ST. MARY’S

RADFORD, Va. – After a season-opening victory on Friday night, the Radford women's soccer team will hit the road to square off with Mount St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
Radford is 5-0 against Mount St. Mary's. The Highlanders defeated the Mountaineers, 2-1, last season as Reese Degnan and Nelia Perez scored goals in the victory.

LAST TIME OUT
Gabi Paupst stole the show in the 3-0 win over Appalachian State to open the season. She tallied a multi-goal match for the first time in her career. Emily Dunn added a pair of assists in the season opener. It was also the first time in her career she notched a pair of assists in one match. Nicole Ray scored the game-winning goal while Courtenay Kaplan and Lexi Dean had a combined shutout in goal.

ABOUT MOUNT ST. MARY'S
Mount St. Mary's opened the 2019 season with a 1-0 overtime loss at Howard on Friday night. The Mountaineers were outshot, 14-to-9, in the game while the Bison had a 10-to-1 edge in corner kicks. The Mount St. Mary's goalkeeper, Charlotte Elrod, made five saves for the Mountaineers in the game.
