ABOUT ELON
The Phoenix enter the New River Valley with a 2-0 record. Elon picked up back-to-back 1-0 wins over Canisius and Big South foe High Point. It's the first time Elon has started 2-0 since the 2017-18 season. Bethany Harford and Carson Jones lead the team with one goal each. Harford was named CAA Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winner in overtime against Canisius.

ABOUT EAST CAROLINA
East Carolina had its original home opener against George Mason rained out with the Pirates leading 1-0 at the half. ECU officially got its season underway on Sunday when a late goal salvaged a 1-1 draw against Richmond. Although ECU only left with a draw, the Pirates were on the front foot for most of the game, taking 20 shots to just 10 for Richmond. East Carolina will face Virginia on Friday night before traveling to the New River Valley.
