RADFORD, Va. – Welcome to the Radford Roundup, where fans can find out all the information they need on upcoming Radford Athletics events taking place between Tuesday, September 17th and Thursday, September 19th.

  • Radford owns a 1-2-2 record heading into its first road match of the season.
  • Tuesday's match is also the first against a ranked opponent for the Highlanders in 2019. Radford had a 1-2 record against ranked opponents last season.
  • Radford is looking for its first win against Virginia since a 1-0 win in Charlottesville on Oct. 17, 2017. The Cavaliers were ranked 10th coming into that match.
  • Liam Deacy and Mouhameth Thiam scored their first goals of the season in a 2-2 draw against NJIT on Saturday. The goals were the first of both players' collegiate careers.
  • Joseba Incera drew the start in goal for the second straight match and made three saves against NJIT.
  • Virginia enters Tuesday's match at 4-0 and will likely crack the top 5 in the polls Tuesday after defeating No. 2 Duke on the road, 3-1.
  • Virginia also has a marquee win in a neutral-site match against Maryland, 2-0, when the Terrapins were the top-ranked team in the country.
  • Irakoze Donasiyano and Nathaniel Crofts lead the Cavaliers with two goals each. Daryl Dike, Daniel Steedman, Henry Kessler and Spencer Patton each have one goal for Virginia.
  • Colin Shutler has started all four games in goal for Virginia and has a 0.25 goals against average, making 10 saves and allowing just one goal.
