2020 HERCULES TIRES BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

RADFORD, Va. – Radford concluded the 2019-20 campaign with a win over Hampton on senior day last Saturday to secure the No.2 in the 2020 Hercules Tires Women's Basketball Championship.

Doors will open 90 minutes before the first game on each day. Currently fans can only purchase tickets to the Thursday and Friday games, as there are no all-tournament passes. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at (540-831-7889), or in-person at the Dedmon Center.

Campbell, host of the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of Pod A in the tournament, claimed its first Big South regular-season title since 1991 and will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

The Highlanders, the reigning tournament champion, closed the regular season with a 15-5 Big South Conference record. Radford will host the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of Pod B as the No. 2 seed. The Highlanders won their last four games to close out the regular season.

First round action begins Tuesday night, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. with No.6 UNC Asheville hosting No.11 Charleston Southern, No.7 Winthrop hosting No. 10 USC Upstate and No. 8 Longwood hosting No.9 Presbyterian College. The winners of each contest advances to Thursday's quarterfinal round, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at Campbell's Gore Arena and the Dedmon Center. Semifinal action will continue at the respective arenas on Friday while the highest remaining seed will host the championship game on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00pm.

The first two rounds of the 2020 Hercules Tires Big South Women's Basketball Championship will be broadcast live on ESPN3, while the semifinals and championship game will air on ESPN+. The Big South's Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows:

Game 7: 6/11 Winner vs. #3 High Point, 8:00pm (at Radford)

Semifinals - Friday, March 13 – ESPN+
Game 8:  Semifinals – Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 6:00pm (at Campbell)
Game 9:  Semifinals – Game 6 winner vs. Game 7 winner, 8:00pm (at Radford)

Championship - Sunday, March 15 – ESPN+
Game 10:  Championship – Game 8 winner vs. Game 9 winner, 2:00pm (at Highest Remaining Seed)
