Radford Tabbed Fourth in Big South Preseason Baseball Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Radford baseball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2021 Big South Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference Thursday afternoon.

The Highlanders were the only team that did not receive a vote in the bottom half of the poll, earning one second-place vote, three third-place votes, four fourth-place votes and two fifth-place votes for 73 points.

Campbell received six of the 10 first-place votes and topped the poll with 89 points. Winthrop received one first-place vote and was picked second (82 points), while USC Upstate earned two first-place votes and totaled 75 points, finishing third in the poll. High Point received the other first-place vote and was picked fifth (67 points). Gardner-Webb (50), Charleston Southern (37), Presbyterian (36), UNC Asheville (24) and Longwood (17) round out the poll.

Charleston Southern's RJ Petit was selected as the Big South Preseason Pitcher of the Year for a second consecutive season, while Campbell's Collin Wolf was named the Big South Preseason Player of the Year.
