WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Both
Caleigh Street and
Natalie Welsh earned spots in the top-25 to lead the Radford women's golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Having to play in freezing temperatures for the second consecutive day, the Highlanders ended the tournament with a 313-315-325—953 on their scorecard.
Welsh posted the best round on the team in the final trip through course, carding a 5-over par 77 with one birdie to tie for 24
th. And despite a more difficult third round, Street still had a great showing and topped the Highlanders in a tie for 19
th.
Jayde Dudley was the only Highlander to card multiple birdies on the day, beating par on the 14
th and 16
thholes to end the tournament at +28 and tied for 44
th. Teammate
Jimenna Ramirez had an identical +28 in Williamsburg, tallying a birdie of her own on the 2
nd hole.
Rounding out the group was senior
Riko Nagai, who tied for 56
th.
Niki Batac played as an individual and wrapped up the week in a tie for 46
th.
