BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — The Radford baseball team fell to Gardner-Webb 16-0 in Big South Conference action Saturday afternoon.
The Highlanders (7-20, 0-5 Big South) were paced offensively by DH
Tanner Barrs, who went 1-for-3 with a walk, reaching base twice. Right fielder
Sully Tibbs and catcher
Julian Rojas also logged a base hit.
Tyler Switalski was the winning pitcher for Gardner-Webb (17-9, 6-2), pitching seven scoreless frames. Despite taking the loss, Radford starter
Dylan Howard went five innings, allowing three earned runs while striking out four and walking none.

The Highlanders will attempt to salvage a game from the series as they resume action on Sunday at 1 p.m.
