SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Radford offense was held to just two hits as the Highlanders fell to USC Upstate 11-1 at Harley Baseball Park on Saturday afternoon in game two of the series.
Austin Stalker went 1-for-4 in the loss, as the freshman broke up a no-hitter in the seventh inning with a single to right center. Catcher Garrett Pancione followed up with a single of his own.
The lone run for the Highlanders (8-32, 0-14 Big South) came two at-bats later. With Paul Moore batting, Stalker came home to score on a wild pitch.
USC Upstate (25-15, 11-3) saw starting pitcher Henry Proger earn the win, going seven innings and allowing one run. The loss was credited to Radford starter Ben Keefe.

The Highlanders will go for a salvage operation in game three as they play on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
