Radford Rolls in Final Preseason Match

RADFORD, VA. – The Radford women's soccer team rolled to a 7-0 victory over Concord Sunday night in their final preseason match. Amy Swain highlighted the score sheet with a hat trick and two assists to account for five of Radford's seven points.

Four other Highlanders would score goals in the offensive outburst. June Stevens opened the scoring in the 10th minute while Paige Olson scored off a sweet feed from Swain and Katelyn O'Donnell to make it 3-0 Radford in the 16th minute.

Ashley Loundermon rounded out the first half with a goal fed from Lilly Short that made it 4-0 headed into halftime. After a pair of goals by Swain, freshman Caitlyn Nottingham teamed up with fellow freshman Hunter Rosenberg for a goal that sealed the 7-0 final.

The Highlanders are done with the preseason portion of their schedule and will now move on to the regular season. Radford kicks off its season at home this upcoming Thursday, August 17th at 7 p.m. against Emory & Henry.
