Kryazhev Scores First Career Goal In 3-1 Loss At NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – It was a sweltering night at Dail Soccer Stadium as the Radford men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to NC State on Friday.
Junior midfielder Alex Kryazhev scored the Highlanders' first goal of the season and the first goal of his career in the 62nd minute, finding space behind the defense straight off a throw-in, and powering the ball across the line throw heavy contact.
The Falls Church native's goal made it 2-1 following a pair of Wolfpack goals in the 25th and 60th minutes. Scotty Taylor was responsible for the opener and Luke Hille came off the bench to provide the second tally.
Radford came out of the gates strong on the night, controlling much of the possession through the first 15 minutes of action. It wasn't until Taylor broke through that the ACC foes showed any major signs of life in the offensive third.
Bryceland Peacock got the start in goal for Chris Barrett's side and he came up huge multiple times on the night, including in the 30th minute when he rejected a point blank header on a corner kick.
The hosts did manage to restore their two-goal lead in the 76th minute with forward Junior Nare scoring the final goal of the game.
