BLACKSBURG, Va. – Radford's track & field program wrapped up their indoor regular-season competition at the Virginia Tech Invitational Friday and Saturday. The Highlanders shined in the 4x400m relay as the team took first place and first place in Radford's record book.
The relay team consisted of
Raichelle Cornelius,
Jordan Jackson,
Jaslyne Robinson and
Elyssia Fisher. They came in first place with a time of 3:52.43 to take over the category in Radford's record book.
Fisher also set a personal best in the long jump at 5.64m to finish in second place. Another member of the relay team, Robinson, also achieved a personal record in the 60m hurdles. She qualified for the finals in which she came fifth at 8.92. Cornelius earned a season best in the 400m, landing in fifth place.
Mia Farley,
Kayla Fields and
Reagan Patterson also found themselves earning personal records in the 800m. These women, in addition to
Katelyn Lafon, also made up the distance medley relay team that earned first place.
Sophie Magson came in first place in the mile at 4:56.80, a new personal best. Another season best comes from
Kate McLearen in the mile at 5:05.62.
