GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Radford women's golf team placed 13th in the final invitational of the regular season at the Ironwood country club.
For the first round of the invitational the Highlanders would finish up the day finishing shooting 319 (+31) as a team. Macy Johnson would have the best outing for the Highlanders in the round as she would go and record a 78 (+6). Hannah Lindemann and McKenzie Weddle who played as an individual would have similar rounds to each other just finishing one stroke behind Johnson at 79 (+7)
For the second round of the invitational, the Highlanders improved on their first round result. Shea Smith led the efforts this time around. Starting at the 10th hole she would bogey the hole but would get back to on par at the 13th hole. Down the stretch of the back nine she would bogey four holes to finish the back nine at +4. She would improve in the front nine recording birdies in the 3rd and 4th holes but bogey 6th to finish the front nine at –1 that would leave her at 75 (+3) and have the Highlanders in 14th place to wrap up the day.
The Highlanders would have their best round on the final day of the invitational as they would finish only +17 over par. Hannah Lindemann would have the best outing for Radford in round three. She would birdie the 7th , 9th and 11th holes but a double bogey in the 8th would leave her at the 71 (-1) mark. Her performance would aid the Highlander cause to move up to 13th on the leaderboard and hold off William & Mary who were trailing by only two strokes.

The Highlanders will hit the road and travel down to Fripp Island, S.C. to participate in the Big South Championship, hosted by Big South Conference at the Fripp Island Golf Resort on Sunday, April 14 and will run through Wednesday, April 17.
