Linley Tirrell,
Taylor Rogahn and
River Rupert of the Radford women's lacrosse team were each named to the 2024 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Monday afternoon, with the program as a whole being named to the Academic Squad List for the fifth time in program history.
The IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 113 different institutions on the 2024 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 325 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA were named IWLCA Academic Honor squads as well. To qualify as an honor squad a team must have posted a 3.20 or higher team GPA for the 2023-24 academic year.
The six Highlanders named to the academic honor roll list join a growing number of Highlander student-athletes to earn the award. 18 Radford student-athletes have now been named to this list.
The IWLCA is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The IWLCA is a 501c(3) nonprofit educational organization.
Currently there are over 500 institutional members and over 1,200 coaches and staff at NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA collegiate programs.
