Last Time Out: Radford picked up their first win of the season against Emory & Henry on Saturday, knocking off the Wasps 69-36 at the Dedmon Center. Never trailing in the contest, the Highlanders picked up their first win in their home opener in front of 1,257 fans. Radford's defense held their opponents to a .190 shooting percentage. Junior Anaiah Jenkins led the Highlanders with 11 points. Radford grabbed 16 offensive rebounds to earn 15 second chance points. They also dominated the paint, outscoring their opponent 34-10.

Series History: This is the fourth meeting between the two schools, with the Greyhounds holding a 2-1 advantage. Radford's lone win came against the Greyhounds in Baltimore on Feb. 9, 1985, as part of a 17-10 season in Charlene Curtis' first at the helm of the Highlanders. Loyola took a 78-59 win on Dec. 5, 1993, and then most recently last season on Dec. 4 in a 70-64 final.

Speedy Dogs: The Greyhounds are off to a slow start, entering the New River City with a 0-3 record, albeit against some stiff competition. They fell to No. 10 Maryland 80-26 to start the season before being knocked off in their home opener to La Salle, 71-59. On Sunday, they fell to Virginia Tech 64-48. Loyola Maryland is led by Lex Therien, who is averaging 14 points a game through three contests. The graduate student is one of five players in program history to reach both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career. Along with Therien, senior guard Cristina Garcia and junior guard Kimmie Hicks return to the Greyhounds lineup after all three missed most of last season due to injury. The Greyhounds were picked to finish third in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, behind Navy and Army.

McGuire Milestone Watch: On Saturday, Head Coach Mike McGuire tied Radford Hall of Famer and first women's basketball coach Pat Barrett (1971-84) with 193 career victories. McGuire has begun his 13th season leading the program and is the longest tenured active coach in the Big South. A win against Loyola will be his 102nd win at the Dedmon Center and his first against a Patriot League opponent.

Simonsen Says: Freshman Georgia Simonsen continued to shine in her third game at the collegiate level. The Fairfax, Va. native cashed in three buckets and grabbed seven rebounds in a winning effort. Entering the day, Simonsen ranks fourth individually with 7.3 rebounds per game in the Big South.

Off the Bench: Adelyn Traylor-Walker leads Radford with 8.3 points per contest and is tied for the team lead with seven assists, despite not being in the starting lineup through the first three contests. Kirah Dandridge has also come off the bench and ranks second on the team with 16 rebounds, including 10 boards on Saturday.
