Women’s Basketball Set for 2025 Big South Tournament in Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The postseason is officially here with Mountain Madness set to begin this week! The Radford women's basketball program has earned the third seed in the Big South Tournament and will begin play in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 6th at the Freedom Hall Civic Center.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Radford's visit to Johnson City, Tenn. will mark the 36th time in program history the team has competed in the Big South Tournament. Over that span Radford has played in 75 tournament games compiling a dominant 48-27 overall record. No team in the Big South has more tournament wins than Radford. When the Highlanders competed as the three seed, the team has compiled an impressive 11-3 record in tournament games. During Mike McGuire's 12-year tenure, Radford has posted 13 wins including four championship appearances and a tournament win in 2019.

ALL-CONFERENCE AWARD WINNERS
The conference office announced Tuesday afternoon the league's end-of-season awards lists which included four Highlanders. Joi Williams, first-team all-conference, Cate Carlson, honorable mention, Adelyn Traylor-Walker, all-freshman, and Kirby Brown, all-academic, rounded out the Highlanders impressive list of award winners.
