LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Thursday afternoon that freshman pitcher
Dakota Redmon has been named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Third-Team after her impressive 2025 campaign.
Adding on to an already loaded trophy case for her efforts this season, Redmon becomes the 14th Highlander to ever earn all-region recognition. The Big South named Redmon its Pitcher and Co-Freshman of the Year as she led Radford's dominant pitching staff all season long. Overall on the year, Redmon led Big South pitchers with a 2.40 ERA, 129 strikeouts, 16 wins, 178 innings pitched, and held opponents to a .231 batting average.
Redmon was the Highlanders' ace in conference play leading the conference in ERA (1.44), strikeouts (55), innings pitched (78.0), complete games (11) and opponent batting average (.186). The freshman racked up six weekly awards during the season and earned recognition from the NFCA by being selected as a national Freshman of the Year Top-25 Finalist.
