Track & Field sets 17 personal bests and seven all-time top 10 marks in final team tune up at Hill City Twilight

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Radford women's track & field program will take all the momentum into championship season as the squad posted seven all-time top 10 performances and 17 personal bests in the final tune up of the regular season at the 2025 Hill City Twilight on Friday.

The meet will go down as one of the best for Radford in recent memory.

NOTABLES
- Sienna Bailey kept her standout season rolling with a second-place finish in the 5000-meter final with a personal best time of 16:50.63. The mark is the fifth-best performance in the event by a Big South student-athlete so far during outdoors and is now ranked second all-time in school history.
- The 100-meter squad put on a show as Danae Niles claimed the event win with a time personal record of 12.04. Makayla Nelson was right behind in third (12.09) while Sela Beatty rounded things out in fifth overall (12.67). Niles's time is ranked sixth in the conference and fifth overall in program history.
- Jeylah Hamrick led the way in the 200-meter dash finals with a second-place showing at 24.23. The performance was also a personal record and ranks fourth all-time in program history. Niles put up a strong performance herself in fourth at 24.57. Hamrick's time is now the fourth best in the Big South as well.
- The Highlanders' 800-meter duo also had a strong night. Claire Keefe took 14th in the standout invite finals with a personal best time of 2:14.70, the eighth-best mark in the conference. The time is also now ranked fifth overall in program history. Katelyn Lafon crossed the line in fourth in the regular 800-meter final at 2:23.67. She is now ranked 19th in the Big South.
- Jaslyne Robinson took the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles final with a personal-best 14.41 performance. Leah Moye joined her on the podium in second (14.52) while Kandace McIvor finished things off for the Highlanders in fourth overall (15.29). The trio is now ranked sixth, seventh and 14th in the Big South, respectively. Robinson's time is also the seventh-best all-time in the event in school history.
- Mya Rosser did it all across the hammer, shot put and discus. She placed second overall in the hammer throw final with a best chuck of 45.08-meters (147'-11"), a mark that slots in at 11th in the conference. She also took fifth in both the shot put final (11.34-meters (37'-2.5"), 15th in the Big South) and the discus final (38.06-meters (124'-10"), also 15th in the conference). The showing in the shot put and hammer throw were personal-best performances. Rosser is also now ranked eighth in the hammer and 10th in the discus in program history.
- Katelyn Campbell also took home a gold with a first-place performance in the 3000-meter steeplechase final with a top mark and personal record of 11:39.62. She is now slotted in at sixth overall in the conference.
- It was all Radford it the 400-meter dash finals. Jordan Jackson was first to cross the line in second (57.95) while the rest of the group of Mattie Flores (58.13), Kanaan Banks (59.05) and Jaslyne Robinson (59.30) finished in third through fifth, respectively. Jordan is now slotted in at 14th in the conference in the event, Flores is 15th, Banks is 20th and Robinson is 22nd.
- McIvor also moved into 13th in the conference after a third-place finish in the javelin final. She posted a top toss of 26.27-meters (86'-2.25").
- Megan Cash is now 16th in the Big South while Mia Farley clocks in at 21st in the 1,500-meter after their 10th (4:40.71) and 11th-place (4:43.78) finishes this evening. Both showings went for personal records in the event.
 
NEXT UP
The Highlanders will now turn their full attention to the 2025 Big South Outdoor Championships, set for May 12-14 at Karl Straus Track on the campus of UNC Asheville.
