Women’s Golf Beats Weather for Seventh Place Finish at Tot Hill Farm Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford women's golf program continued the Fall portion of their schedule over the last couple of days competing at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational. The team battled through schedule changes for a seventh-place finish.

Picking up where she left off in Radford's last tournament, Mckenzie Weddle was Radford's top finisher once again and placed tied for 17th among the 70 student-athletes competing. Weddle was consistent in her play, recording a 3-over par that put her top 20 after round one. Finishing out the invitational, Weddle recorded a 4-over in round two to finish 7-over through both rounds.

Shea Smith would use a stronger performance in round two to finish just one stroke behind Weddle overall. After recording a 5-over in round one, Smith bounced back with a 3-over performance which led Radford's action on Monday to place 20th among all individual student-athletes. Caroline Gilreath also had a solid bounce back on day two going 7-over on round one before recording a 5-over in round two on Monday to place 32nd, a 10 spot improvement over the two rounds.

Rounding out the Highlanders' top performers was Macy Johnson who placed 42nd and finished the tournament at 14-over and Grace Addison who placed 47th at 15-over. Lillian Aune also got her first action of the Fall, competing individually for the Highlanders.
