Women’s Golf Finishes Regular Season Competing at Golfweek/Stifel Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford women's golf program concluded the regular season portion of their 2025-26 schedule this week competing at the Golfweek/Stifel Challenge placing tied for 11th as a team and led by Grace Addison and Shea Smith's top 30 placements.

Among a competitive field of 19 teams and 100 student athletes, Addison and Smith led Radford's efforts throughout the week placing within the top third of the field. Addison started well with Radford's best round on day one at 3-over which included one birdie. After improving for a 2-over performance in round two, Addison rounded out her week by finishing 13-over through three rounds to place tied for 29th individually with five total birdies.

Smith was solid in round one at 5-over before posting the Highlanders best round of the week on day two. Finishing even in round two, Smith used birdies on the 1st, 4th, 5th, 13th and 15th holes to vault herself and the team up the leaderboard. After a slow start on day three, Smith finished strong with two more birdies to tie for the team's best individual finish at 29th.

Caroline Gilreath also used a strong second round showing thanks to a strong start and late birdie to finish at 2-over on Tuesday. Overall in the tournament, Gilreath would finish at 16-over which was good for a finish within the top half of the field tied for 41st. Mckenzie Weddle was right behind Gilreath at 17-over using a very consistent showing of 76-77-77 throughout the three rounds.
