A LOOK BACK
Radford and Charleston Southern have a deep history together as founding members of the Big South and will meet for the 76th time on Friday night. Radford owns a decisive edge in the series, 48-27, but the Buccaneers have won three of the last four games. Radford snapped a three-game losing skid to the Buccaneers last season in Dedmon but haven't won in the Buc Dome since 2023.

BACK-TO-BACK AWARDS FOR ERICHSEN
Frederik Erichsen made waves on the conference scene once again, earning his second straight Big South Freshman of the Week nod earlier this week. The newcomer didn't miss a beat, averaging eight points per game in two tough battles at Winthrop and at home against High Point. Erichsen did most of his work in a quick turnaround against the Panthers, coming off the bench to score 11 points on a limited shooting performance with just five takes from the floor. This season, Erichsen has been efficient from the floor shooting 52% on 86 attempts.

WALLS' EFFICIENCY
Speaking of efficiency, Lukas Walls has continued to fire for the Highlanders at an elite level. His 54% shooting clip ranks second on the team, only trailing Tyson Brown. A large part of his high percentage shooting has come from beyond the arc shooting at a 46% clip from deep which leads the team by a wide margin. In Radford's last four games, Walls has hit eight of his 16 three-point attempts to average over 10 points per game.

SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
The Buccaneers will be looking to turn things around this week coming in with a five-game losing streak. During that streak, there hasn't been a decision that came down to more than four points and included three trips to overtime. Charleston Southern posted one of the better nonconference performances in the Big South with notable wins over Richmond, North Florida, and East Carolina.

A'lahn Sumler will be the player to watch for the Buccaneers, pacing the team's offense with 18 or more points in every Big South game this season including three 30-point showings. Sumler leads the offense overall this season with 18.0 ppg. Brycen Blaine made headlines early in the season as well with a 42-point game, only overshadowed in conference by Dennis Parker Jr.'s 53-point game.
