PLAY BY PLAY
Tuesday night's match wouldn't wait long to get the scoring started as a pair of shots resulted in Elon's first goal nine minutes in. After Miller made a stop on Elon's first shot, the Phoenix collected that shot and fired again to jump ahead 1-0.
Â
In the 13th minute Radford would get its first look of the match on target as Oluwajomiloju Oyediran got the shot on target that was saved. Radford's defense did a solid job dispelling any other Elon scoring attempts for the remainder of the first half while Brice Hall, Noel Zimbeva, Hugo Roman and Bryce Paige would all tally shots.
Â
Similar to the first half, Elon struck quickly in the second half to double their lead. The Phoenix scored in the 50th minute to go ahead 2-0 and followed up with a 77th minute goal to make it 3-0. That advantage would hold the rest of the way with no major looks from Radford's end as the Highlanders fell in the 3-0 final.
