Worked two scoreless innings to earn his second win of the season, against Wake Forest (March 6) ... escaped the ninth inning with the bases loaded and no one out, striking out two in the inning ... Tossed a scoreless inning to close out the series finale with Hartford (March 13) ... Picked up a win and a save in the Winthrop series ... Retired the final batter in the first game for his first save of the season in his first chance (April 15) ... Worked two relief innings for the win in the series finale, setting up Abram Williams’ school-record 10th save (April 17) ... 2010 Highlights
Finished the season second all-time in saves at Radford with 14 ... Big South All-Academic Team member ... One of six RU student-athletes (in all sports) to earn VaSID Academic All-State Team honors ... SEBaseball.com Preseason Second Team All-Big South ... Nailed down his first save of the season, working two scoreless innings with three strikeouts against Bucknell (March 6) ... Picked up two wins in two appearances, throwing three scoreless innings against Rider (G2, March 14) and UNC Asheville (March 19) ... Two strikeouts in a perfect inning to earn his third save of the season against Siena (March 27, G2) ... Career-long four innings with a career-best seven strikeouts, taking the loss in the series finale with Siena (March 28) ... After pitching a four-run eighth inning, came back with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning and struck out High Point’s Nate Roberts to end the game in the series finale win (April 18) ... Tossed a scoreless ninth in the series finale win over Winthrop (April 25, G2) in a non-save situation, inducing a bases-loaded double play to end the game ... Surrendered a save chance in the ninth, but got a perfect 10th to earn his fourth win of the season against ETSU (April 27) ... Went the final four innings on the way to his fifth win in the series opener against Presbyterian (May 7) ... Earned two saves in the series at Gardner-Webb, recording the final out on Friday (May 14) and a scoreless inning in the first game on Saturday (May 15)
2009 Highlights
Became Radford’s new single-season saves leader in 2009 ... Induced a game-ending double play in the ninth inning of Radford’s win at UAB Feb. 22 to earn his first collegiate save ... Struck out a pair of hitters on the way to earning his second career save in a win over Canisius March 8 ... Picked up his first Big South save in Radford’s series finale win over Winthrop March 29 ... Retired two VMI hitters in the 10th inning to earn his first career win on April 17 ... Nailed down his ninth save of the season in the second game of a doubleheader at Liberty May 15, setting the school’s new single-season record ... Entered in a non-save situation and struck out the side in the ninth inning of Radford’s come-from-behind Big South tournament win over Coastal Carolina May 21
