2012 Highlights
Posted a career-best offensive season playing in 31 games … Split time behind the plate with Carl Travers … Caught Tyler Costello on Saturdays … Ranked eighth in the Big South in runners caught stealing with 14 … Threw out a pair of runners attempting to steal against Liberty (Feb. 22) ... also had a pair of two-out hits, including a single in the sixth that led to a run ... Went 2-for-4 and cut down three attempted base-stealers at North Carolina A&T (Feb. 25) ... 2-for-3 and drew a pair of walks in the second game at UNCG (March 3) ... Knocked in a pair of second-inning runs on a single in the first series game vs. La Salle (March 6) ... Had a two-run single at ETSU (March 27) … Had an 8-for-14 stretch in early April over four games (April 7-20) … Caught a pair of attempted base stealers at Virginia (April 24) … Went 4-for-8 with five RBIs in the Gardner-Webb series (May 4-6), including four RBIs in the series finale win … Made his collegiate pitching debut in the regular season finale against Liberty, allowing a hit and a run with a strikeout over an inning and two-thirds in relief (May 19)
