SUNSET BEACH, N.C. – The Radford women's golf team climbed to 12th on the team leaderboard following a 311 on day two of the Sea Trail Intercollegiate Saturday.
After shooting a 332 in their opening round, the Radford women's team climbed two spots up the leaderboard thanks to the sixth lowest total of the day.
The Highlanders will enter the third and final round just five strokes out of the top 10.
Looking for her second top-20 finish of the fall,
Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md.) is tied for 18th following a 76, while
Hannah Coles (Coleshill, Birmingham, England) is in a tie for 24th, just one stroke back of her teammate at 13-over (82-75=157).
Maggie Watts (Paris, Ky.) improved on her opening total by seven strokes with a 79, while
Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and
Brittany Hine (Elkton, Va.) recorded scores of 81 and 86, respectively.
The final round of the 54-hole event will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
