HIGHLANDER HITS
- Coming off a 71-67 victory over Coastal Carolina, first-place Radford, winners of five straight and 10 of its last 11, will begin its final road swing of the 2008-09 season with a 4:30 p.m. contest at UNC Asheville Saturday afternoon.
- The Highlanders, who are tied for the top spot in the league standings with VMI, enter 14-10 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
- Radford is off to its best start in Big South play since the 2000-01 season, which was also the last time it recorded 12 conference victories in a campaign.
- To go along with their current five-game spurt, the Highlanders have won six straight road games. The last time Radford strung together seven consecutive triumphs away from home was during the 1978-79 season.
- A win over the Bulldogs would assure the Highlanders a first round home game in the 2009 Big South Tournament.
- As a team, Radford leads the Big South in rebounding margin (+5.1), field-goal percentage defense (.395) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.308).
- 12 of Radford's 14 wins this season have come by double figures. The Highlanders' only single-digit victories this year came at Winthrop (2/2) and in their last game against Coastal Carolina (2/9).

Art Parakhouski# (Minsk, Belarus), the reigning Big South Co-Player of the Week, ranks ninth nationally in rebounds per game and continues to pace three Radford players in double figures averaging 14.7 points per contest, which ranks 10th among conference leaders.
- UNC Asheville enters 12-13 and 8-6 in the league following an 87-78 overtime defeat of Gardner-Webb Wednesday evening. Reid Augst, who shared the most recent weekly honor with Parakhouski, led the Bulldogs with 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting.
- Augst leads UNCA offensively averaging 15.7 points per contest. Also in double figures for the Bulldogs are John Williams (12.0) and Matt Dickey (10.5).
- Radford will continue its final road swing of the 2008-09 campaign with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Charleston Southern Monday evening.

- This afternoon's meeting is the 54th all-time with Radford holding a 27-26 advantage.
- Radford is 16-7 at home, 8-14 on the road, and 3-5 against the Bulldogs on a neutral floor.

Chris McEachin matched his career-high with 19 points and Art Parakhouski finished with his 12th double-double of the season to lift Radford to a 71-67 overtime victory over Coastal Carolina Monday evening at the Dedmon Center.
- Trailing 58-55, Radford's
Kenny Thomas nailed his third bucket from downtown in as many attempts, to tie the score 58-58 with just over a minute to play. Following a Logan Johnson free throw 20 seconds later that put the Chants back in front, 59-58, McEachin hit a layup with 15 seconds left to give the lead back to Radford, 60-59.
- With just 1.5 seconds left in regulation, Coastal's Joseph Harris made his second of two free throws to send the game into overtime.
- Radford scored the first five points of the extra session and didn't allow the Chanticleers closer than a bucket the rest of the way.
