HIGHLANDER HITS
- Fresh off capturing the 2008-09 Big South Regular Season crown, Radford will begin a two-game homestand with a 7 p.m. contest against High Point Wednesday evening at the Dedmon Center.
- By locking up the number one seed, Radford has secured home court throughout the 2009 Advance Auto Parts Big South Conference Tournament.
- By virtue of its regular season crown, Radford is guaranteed a postseason NIT berth.

Art Parakhouski (Minsk, Belarus), who ranks 10th nationally in rebounds per game, was tabbed the Big South Co-Player of the Week Monday. It's the second time in three weeks Parakhouski has received the honor.
- Coming off an 81-69 non-conference victory over Longwood, High Point enters 9-18 overall and 4-12 in league play. Four of the Panthers' nine triumphs have come in their last six outings.
- Offensively, High Point is led by Nick Barbour, who is averaging 14.0 points per outing.
- Radford will entertain Liberty in both teams' regular season finale Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The Homecoming and Senior Day matchup will be televised on Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN).

- This evening's meeting is the 27th all-time with the series tied at 13 games each.

Kenny Thomas (Richmond, Va./Highland Springs) became the 23rd player in Radford men's basketball history to hit the 1,000-point plateau as the Highlanders defeated High Point 65-52 at the Millis Athletic Center on Jan. 17.
- An
Eric Hall (Greensboro, N.C./Ben L. Smith) putback at the 12:11 mark of the second half broke a 41-41 deadlock and sparked a 13-5 Highlander run to give them the advantage for good.
- High Point cut the deficit to five, 56-51, on a pair of Jourdan Morris free throws with 3:24 left, but wouldn't get any closer as Thomas hit the milestone with his final trey of the night the next trip down the floor to put the game out of reach.
LAST TIME OUT
- Highlighted by five players in double figures including three double-doubles, Radford claimed its fourth Big South regular season title with a 97-90 victory over VMI Saturday at Cameron Hall in front of 4,744 fans.

Kenny Thomas led Radford with a season-high 28 points on 10-of-16 from the floor, including three buckets from deep. Art Parakhouski recorded his 14th double-double of the year with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while
Amir Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Quaker Valley) and
Joey Lynch-Flohr (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) also contributed 15 points and 14 boards each.
- Sophomore
Chris McEachin (Norfolk, Va./Norview) also scored in double figures for RU with 11 points in 23 minutes off the bench.
- After its impressive shooting performance in the first half, Radford drilled 63.3 percent of its attempts after intermission to finish with a season-high 61.3 percent (38-62) clip. The Keydets connected on 16 three-pointers, but shot just 35.3 percent (30-of-85) from the field in a game they never led.
- To go with their impressive shooting totals, the Highlanders set a school record for rebounds and rebounding margin with a 65-26 differential.
