HIGHLANDER HITS
- Riding a nine-game winning streak, Radford will conclude its 2008-09 regular season with a 6 p.m. televised (MASN) contest against Liberty Saturday at the Dedmon Center.

- The Highlanders are 24-10 all-time on "Senior Day" and 5-3 against the Flames in regular season home finales.

Art Parakhouski (Minsk, Belarus), the two-time Big South Player of the Week, continues to rank among national leaders in rebounds per game (10th/10.8). Parakhouski is also one of three Highlanders averaging double figures this year at 15.2 points per game.
Joey Lynch-Flohr (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) (13.9) and
Kenny Thomas (13.6) are also chipping more than 10 an outing.
- Liberty, which comes in 20-10 overall and 11-6 in the league, is led by the nation's top scoring freshman, Seth Curry, who is averaging 20.5 per contests.
- Like Radford, the Flames have locked up an opening round home game, but their seed is still to be determined.
- Radford will entertain the No. 8 seed in the quarterfinals of the Advance Auto Parts Big South Men's Basketball Tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
- This evening's meeting is the 54th all-time with Radford holding a 31-22 advantage.
- Radford is 21-3 at home, 8-18 on the road and 2-1 at a neutral site against the Flames.
- The Highlanders have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with the Flames at the Dedmon Center.
- Art Parakhouski and
Kenny Thomas each recorded double-doubles to lead five Radford players in double figures as the Highlanders ended Liberty's 11-game home winning streak with a 94-82 victory in double overtime at the Vines Center on Jan. 24.
- Tied 78-78 after the first extra session, Radford opened the second overtime with seven straight points and never looked back.
- With 34 ticks remaining in regulation, Brolin Floyd hit one of his two attempts from the line to put the Flames up, 70-68, but a Parakhouski putback with 15 seconds sent the contest into overtime.
- Thomas forced the second overtime by hitting a free throw with 12 seconds left in the first overtime.

Phillip Martin's (Roanoke, Va./Roanoke Catholic) three-pointer with 1:14 left put Radford ahead and
Amir Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Quaker Valley) hit four free throws in the final 19 seconds to seal the Highlanders' ninth-straight win, 69-64, over High Point at the Dedmon Center.
- Following a bucket from Jourdan Morris to give the Panthers a 64-62 lead with 1:29 left, Martin drained the go-ahead three 15 seconds later to put the Highlanders in front for good.
- Martin, one of four Highlanders in double figures, finished with 12 points and was 4-for-4 from the field.
Kenny Thomas led Radford with 21 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Joey Lynch-Flohr chipped in 15 points and Art Parakhouski added 11 points and eight rebounds.
- The Highlanders led 37-36 nearly five minutes into the second half but a putback underneath from Cruz Daniels sparked a 10-2 run that put the Panthers back out in front.
- Radford slowly chipped away at the deficit and closed it to a pair with 6:40 remaining when Thomas forced a steal and took a feed from Lynch-Flohr for a layup to make it 55-53.
- Then, following a High Point turnover less than a minute later, Lynch-Flohr shoveled a pass inside to Martin, who knocked down the driving layup from the left side to tie the game at 55-55.
