Round One Scores
CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. – Highlighted by a three-over 75 from
Hannah Coles (Birmingham, England/The Coleshill School), Radford sits tied for 10th following round one of the El Diablo Invitational.
The 54-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 5,902-yard El Diablo Country Club layout.
Coles, who concluded the fall slate with back-to-back individual titles, is currently tied for sixth with one other golfer.
As a team, Radford carded a 322 (+34) on its first 18 holes and is just seven strokes out of the top five.
Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) opened with an 80 to sit in a tie for 30th, while
Brittany Hine (Elkton, Va.) is one stroke back of Leineweber in a tie for 34th.
Also competing for the Highlanders is freshman
Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif./Marina), who shot an 86.
Florida Atlantic fired a 12-over 300 and holds the top spot in the team standings just three swings clear of James Madison.
The Owls P. Phol-uayporn is currently first on the individual leaderboard following a four-under 68. Just two golfers carded rounds of par or better Thursday afternoon.
The final round of the 2009 El Diablo Invitational hosted by Eastern Kentucky will begin Friday morning.
