WILLIAMSBURG, Va. –
Highlighted by three rounds in the 70s, Radford fired an opening round 317 Saturday afternoon to sit in a tie for fourth out of 22 teams at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.

The 36-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 6,174-yard Ford's Colony Country Club layout.

Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) will enter the final day of competition in a tie for 19th with sixth other golfers, while Hannah Coles (Birmingham, England/The Coleshill School) and Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif./Marina) are one back of Leineweber at seven-over.

The Highlanders' Brittany Hine (Elkton, Va.) and Maggie Watts (Paris, Ky./Paris) aren't far behind their teammates after rounds of 81 put them in a tie for 42nd out of 124 golfers.

Alabama's Camilla Lennarth and Madison Jeter of Charleston Southern will share the overnight lead at two-over par.

Like Lennarth, the Crimson Tide hold the top spot on the team leaderboard following a 306 on their first 18 holes. Alabama is five strokes clear of Penn State (+23) and eight ahead of Richmond (+26).

Radford, Charleston Southern and Georgetown are three swings behind the Spiders and just six back of second.

The final round of the First Market Bank Intercollegiate will begin tomorrow morning.
