WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Hannah Coles (Birmingham, England/The Coleshill School) recorded her fourth straight Top-20 finish and the Radford women's golf placed seventh out of 22 teams at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
The 36-hole event was played on the Par 72, 6,174-yard Ford's Colony Country Club layout.
Coles carded a final round 79 to finish tied for 17th with a two-day total of 158 (+14).
Just behind Coles on the individual leaderboard was freshman
Jade Okamoto (Huntington Beach, Calif./Marina), who charted her third Top-25 finish of the year placing tied for 21st out of 124 golfers.
Brittany Hine (Elkton, Va.) and
Maggie Watts (Paris, Ky./Paris) finished tied for 47th with 11 others, while
Megan Leineweber (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) concluded the annual event one stroke behind Hine and Watts at 165 (78-87).
As a team, the Highlanders fired a final round 325 to finish with a 36-hole total of 642.
Nationally-ranked Alabama won the team title by 18 strokes, while the Crimson Tides' Rhea Nair, who was competing as an individual, claimed individual medalist.
Radford will enjoy a week break before returning to the course at the Longwood Invitational March 30-31 in Farmville, Va.
