First Round Scores

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Playing in its 2009 spring opener, Radford sits in 11th place after round one of the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford College and Western Carolina. The 36-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 5,853-yard Moss Creek layout.

The Highlanders carded a 351 Saturday afternoon and will enter the last day of competition just 13 strokes out of the top seven.

Blaire Minter of Western Carolina holds the top spot on the individual leaderboard following a one-over 73. Minter is four swings clear of three other golfers, including Alex Rankin and Sarah Herbert of Wofford.

The Catamounts are currently first in the team standings at 28-over par.

Following tomorrow's final round, Radford will continue its spring break and slate at the El Diablo Invitational on March 12-13 in Orlando, Fla.
