BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Radford dropped its final home match of the season to Coastal Carolina, 6-1, in women's tennis action Friday night at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.

The Highlanders fall 12-9 overall and 2-5 in conference, while the Chanticleers improved to 14-5 and 4-3. 

Radford's two seniors Ally Spector (Laurel, Md. /Reservoir) and Antonietta Iosue (Damascus, Md. /Damascus) were recognized before the match by head coach Bruce Harrison. 

The Highlanders were unable to take advantage of the doubles portion, dropping two of three matches to the Chanticleers and beginning singles play with an early 1-0 deficit. 

Radford's duo of Mirna Matic (Umag, Croatia/Vladimir Gortan Buje) and Ivana Tomaic came back from an early 2-1 deficit to defeat Lexi Bolesky and Caitlyn Brooksbank, 8-5. 

In singles action, the Highlanders faltered dropping five out of six matches. Mia Drobnjak (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska giminazija) captured a straight-set victory over Tina Petkova, 6-2, 6-3, for Radford's lone win.

Spector fought hard in her last regular season match as a Highlander. After trailing 4-1 in the second-set, she came back to tie the match at 5-5. Spector would eventually drop the next two games to Caitlyn Brooksbank with each of them ending in a flurry of rallies. 

Radford will be back in action Thursday, April 16 at the Big South Championship.
