HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Singles victories at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 weren't enough to help Radford as it fell to James Madison 4-3 in women's tennis action Thursday afternoon. 

The Highlanders dropped to 12-8, while the Dukes improved to 8-10. 

Radford came up short in two of the three doubles matches allowing James Madison to grab an early lead in Thursday's contest, 1-0. 

Mia Drobnjak (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska gimnazija) and Ally Spector (Laurel, Md. /Reservoir) captured the lone doubles win for the Highlanders as they overcame an early 4-3 deficit to defeat Kinsey Pate and Kristin Nimitz, 8-6 

In singles action, Drobnjak carried carried over the momentum from her doubles victory as she dispatched Rebbecca Erickson in straight sets. Ivana Tomaic (Zagreb, Croatia/Third Gymnasium) posted her 12th two-set win of the season with her victory over Anna Khoor, 6-3, 6-2. Mirna Matic (Umag. Croatia/Vladimir Gortan Buje) pushed herself to the limit as she won a thrilling three-set match against Anna Khoor, 6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-3. 

Radford will be back in action Friday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. against conference foe Coastal Carolina.
