RADFORD, Va. – Junior center fielder
Reggie Keen (Danville, Va./G.W.-Danville) and freshman second baseman
Brett Mollenhauer (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) had four hits each in the doubleheader, and Radford finished off a Big South series sweep of Gardner-Webb, winning 4-1 and 11-3 at Radford University Baseball Field on Saturday.
Keen and Mollenhauer each had two hits in both games for the Highlanders, which improved to 23-19 (14-8 Big South) with the sweep, and Mollenhauer drove in four runs during the twinbill.
Radford completed its third Big South conference series sweep this season with the wins over Gardner-Webb, which dropped to 22-21 (10-11).
Designated hitter Bubbie Spake led the Runnin' Bulldogs with three hits in the doubleheader.

Jason Patten (Davidsonville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) nailed down the save (8) in the first game, tying Bret Lieberman's Radford single-season school record of eight in 2003.
GAME 1 – RADFORD 4, GARDNER-WEBB
A three-run seventh inning, and a quality start from sophomore right-hander
Shane Pysh (Wheeling, W.Va./John Marshall) led the Highlanders to a 4-1 win in game one of the doubleheader.
Radford rallied from down 1-0 in the seventh and took a 3-1 lead with two outs on Mollenhauer's triple to center field, plating senior
Mario Duarte (Tampa, Fla./Gaither) on the play before an error in center field allowed Mollenhauer to score and give the Highlanders a two-run lead.
The inning began with a leadoff single from senior third baseman
Nick Minter (Virginia Beach, Va./Salem), who went to second on a sacrifice by junior catcher
Robert Lamas (Annandale, Va./Paul VI). With two outs, junior
Rick Hoogstraten (Poquoson, Va./Poquoson) came off the bench and delivered a single to center, scoring Minter to tie the game at 1-1.
Mollenhauer, Minter and Keen each had two hits in the first game for Radford.
Pysh delivered 6 2/3 effective innings in a no-decision, allowing one run on six hits while striking out four. Junior right-hander
Jake Quigg (Glen Arm, Md./Loyola) picked up his second win (4-1) in relief in as many games, and Patten worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
Center fielder Brock Miller led the Runnin' Bulldogs with a 2-for-5 effort in game one. Seven Gardner-Webb players added a hit to the offensive effort.
Right-hander Jonathon Ban (2-1) allowed three of the late runs to take the loss.
Gardner-Webb struck first in the top of the seventh, when three straight men reached with two away. After left fielder Daniel Cooke walked, he scored with the bases loaded on a wild pitch to give the Runnin' Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
Radford added its three-run inning in the seventh and got insurance in the eighth when Keen scored with two outs on Minter's single to center field.
GAME 2 – RADFORD 11, GARDNER-WEBB 3
Radford mashed 17 hits, and big innings in the fourth and fifth opened up a nine-run lead, propelling the Highlanders to an 11-3 win in the nightcap.
Freshman shortstop
Jeff Kemp led seven Highlanders with double-figure hits with a 3-for-4 effort and three RBIs. Mollenhauer drove in three with a 2-for-4 game and Hoogstraten had a pair of RBIs on a two-run homer in the designated hitter spot.
All nine starters for Radford had hits in the second game.
With the score 2-2 in the fourth, the Highlanders scored four runs in the home half when six straight hitters reached to lead off the inning. Mollenhauer's two-run single with the bases loaded on a drawn-in infield gave the Highlanders a 4-2 lead to start the scoring.
In the fifth, Radford got five more, bringing all nine hitters to the plate. Hoogstraten delivered the big swing with his two-run homer to right center, his first of the season, making it 8-2 Radford.

Abram Williams (Radford, Va./Radford) tossed 5 2/3 innings to earn the win (2-4), while freshman lefty
Paul DeVito (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) handed the final 3 1/3 innings to earn his first collegiate save.
Ty Boyles and Spake had two hits each for the Runnin' Bulldogs, and Boyles hit a solo homer in the eighth.
Right-hander Mike Lewis (3-2) surrendered nine runs in 4 1/3 innings to take the loss.
