Scouting the Highlanders
-- Radford will continue its challenging non-conference schedule with a 7 p.m. televised contest at nationally-ranked Florida Wednesday.

-- Looking to end an eight-game skid, the Highlanders enter 2-8 overall following a 64-50 setback at UNC Wilmington Saturday.

-- Despite the loss, redshirt freshman Tolga Cerrah (Ankara, Turkey) paced Radford with a season-high 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go along with six rebounds.

-- In addition to their first-ever meeting with the Gators, the Highlanders are 1-8 all-time against the Southeastern Conference. Radford's lone win against the SEC came at LSU (73-72) on Dec. 30, 1993.

-- Gorkem Sonmez (Istanbul, Turkey) continues to pace Radford in scoring at just under 10 points per game, while Johnathan Edwards (Queens, N.Y./Tyler Junior College) (5.6) leads the club in rebounding.

-- Radford's meeting with the Gators will be its 13th all-time against a team ranked inside the AP Top 25. The Highlanders are still looking for their first win over a nationally-ranked opponent. (See page 2 for more details)

-- Radford will enjoy a six-day break for the holiday before returning home for a 7 p.m. contest with Dickinson on Dec. 28.

Scouting the Gators
-- No. 19 / 20 Florida returns all five starters and eight letterwinners from last year's club that finished 21-13 overall, while advancing to its 10th NCAA Tournament in 12 years. It also marked the 12th straight season the Gators have won 20 or more contests.

-- For the first time in four years, Florida was picked to win the SEC by the league's media.

-- The Gators are 13-0 all-time against the Big South, including an 11-0 mark under Billy Donovan.

-- The nationally-ranked Gators enter 8-3 following a 71-68 overtime loss to Jacksonville Monday afternoon.

-- Florida's contest with Radford is its third game in five days.

-- Prior to being upset by the Dolphins, Florida knocked off then-No. 6 Kansas State, 57-44, over the weekend as part of the Orange Bowl Classic.

-- Florida's current RPI is No. 3 in the nation, while its strength of schedule is No. 1.

-- As a team, the Gators are out-rebounding the opposition by +7.8 rebounds per game.

-- Erving Walker leads the club in scoring at 13 points per outing, while fellow starters Kenny Boynton (12.4) and Vernon Macklin (11.0) are also averaging double figures.

-- Through 11 contests, Florida is holding opponents to just 59.1 points per outing.
