BLACKSBURG, Va. –Despite winning at No.1 singles, the Radford women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Davidson Friday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
The Highlanders drop to 1-2 while Davidson improves to 5-1.
The lone doubles win came at No.3, where the tandem of
Petra Dajevic (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska Gimnazija) and
Emerald Lauzon (Bristol, Va./John S. Battle) defeated Samantha Galainena and Katharine Diccsonson, 8-4.
In singles action,
Mia Drobnjak (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska Gimnazija) recorded the lone win for the Highlanders with a straight-set victory over Virginia Berry, 6-2, 6-2 at the No.1 position
The Highlanders return to action on March 7 against Coastal Carolina at 1:00 p.m.
