ORLANDO, Fla. – The Radford women's tennis team picked up its third straight win by defeating North Dakota, 7-0, in non-conference action Saturday morning.

The Highlanders improve to 5-3, while the Fighting Sioux drop to 4-7.

For the third match in four days, Radford claimed two out of the three doubles matches. Petra Dajevic teamed with Emerald Lauzon to defeat Megan Sween and Mindy Lawrence, 8-2. The Highlander duo of Mia Drobnjak and Sara Tegner clinched the doubles point with an 8-6 victory over Emma Larson and Kate Callison.

In singles action, Radford captured all six matches in straight sets. Drobnjak handled Callison at the No.1 position 6-3, 6-1, while Dajevic earned a 6-2, 6-0 win over Hallie Welk at the No. 3 position. Tegner sealed the win for the Highlanders, earning a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Sween.

With the match already in hand, Lauzon downed Lawrence, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6, while Ivana Tomaic put Radford up 6-0 with a 6-3, 7-6 win over Erin Kappers on court two. Mirna Matic finished the match for the Highlanders, dispatching of Larson 6-4, 7-5.

Radford returns to action tomorrow against conference foe Gardner-Webb at 1:00 p.m.
