FINAL RESULTS
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Led by
Megan Leineweber's final round four-over 76 and tie for 25th showing, the Radford women's golf team came home 11th at the season-opening Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Western Carolina.
The 36-hole event was played on the Par 72, 5,814-yard South Course at the Moss Creek Golf Club layout.
Sophomore
Jade Okamoto finished one stroke back of Leineweber in a tie for 32nd, while
Hannah Coles and
Amy McCollum placed tied for 63rd and 69th, respectively.
The host Catamounts claimed the team title by two strokes over James Madison (309-309=618), while Augusta State's Natalie Wille and Jillian Fraccola of Richmond shared individual medalists at five-over par.
The two-day event featured 1248 bogeys or worse.
Radford will continue its five-tournament spring slate next weekend at the William & Mary Invitational.
